Think Twice Before Eating Airplane Food

Good morning fam,
Today is for all my travel junkies.
Next time you board a plane, you might want to reconsider opening that meal tray. Here’s why.
Super Low-Quality Ingredients
The meat, dairy, eggs, and other animal products in airplane meals are not organic and are loaded with chemicals, pesticides and hormones.
Plastic and Microplastics
Your meal comes wrapped in plastic, which might seem harmless. However, when this plastic is heated, it releases microplastics into your food. Specifically, you're exposed to 4 million microplastic parts and 1.2 billion nanoplastic parts per square centimeter of plastic. That's a lot of unwanted extras with your meal!
The Big Rumour
I spoke to a close source in my family that was an air hostess AND this will blow your mind. Apparently airlines add in constipating ingredients to the plane meal to lesson the que for the toilets. So I’d rather not take the chance.

The Problem with ‘Healthy’ Options
Choosing water or a vegetable wrap might seem like a safe bet, but these options have their own issues. Non-organic gluten in wraps and harmful seed oils in dressings can disrupt your digestion and increase inflammation in your body. Even the water isn't safe from plastic contamination.
Vegetables and Desserts
Most vegetables served on planes are not organic and could be treated with pesticides. As for desserts like sago pudding, it’s best to steer clear unless you're sure about the ingredients.
A Better Alternative: BYOF
Bringing your own food is the safest strategy. Just like I do, I bring my own fruit, nuts and sometimes a whole meal. This is how you maintain your health while traveling.
Or Consider Fasting
If bringing food seems like too much hassle, fasting is another great option. It gives your digestive system a rest, which can be beneficial, especially during long flights.
Your Health Comes First
So next time you’re flying, think about skipping the airplane meal. Your body will appreciate it, and you’ll avoid consuming unnecessary chemicals and plastics.
Safe travels,
