The toxin hiding in your beef

The FDA just approved it—without long-term safety data

Good morning friends,

The FDA just approved a new cattle feed additive.
It’s called Bovaer, and it’s meant to reduce methane emissions in cows.
Sounds like a win for the planet, right?

But here’s the problem…

Bovaer (aka 3-NOP) works by disabling a natural enzyme in cows that helps them produce methane.

But that process creates a toxic byproduct called NOPA
A compound linked to:

  • Mitochondrial dysfunction

  • Neurotoxicity and cell death

  • Diseases like Huntington’s

And here’s where it gets even more disturbing…

The product label warns:

  • Toxic to male fertility

  • Avoid skin contact

  • Wear gloves, mask, and goggles

Yet somehow…
It’s perfectly fine to feed it to the animals we eat.

So what happens next?

If we know toxins can pass from mother to baby through breast milk,
What’s stopping NOPA from passing from cow to consumer through meat and milk?

The scary part?
We don’t know.
The research hasn’t been done.

The solution?

  • Know your farmer

  • Buy regeneratively raised meat

  • Avoid corporate supply chains when you can

Because food quality = health quality.
And this is just another example of profit over people.
