Seed oils are harming your health!

Did you know seed oils were originally industrial waste?

Good morning health hackers,

Seed oils are everywhere—in processed foods, restaurant meals, and even so-called “health” products. But did you know these oils were originally industrial waste?

the real story behind seed oils

In the late 1800s, cottonseed oil—a byproduct of the cotton industry—was repurposed into Crisco, a cheap alternative to lard. By the 1940s, Procter & Gamble funded the American Heart Association, which then promoted vegetable oils like soybean, corn, and sunflower oil as “heart-healthy” alternatives.

But these oils are far from healthy.

why seed oils are dangerous

  • High in omega-6 fatty acids, which drive inflammation and oxidative stress.

  • Linked to heart disease, metabolic dysfunction, and obesity.

  • Chemically processed using toxic solvents like hexane.

healthier alternatives

To avoid the damage caused by seed oils, choose stable, nutrient-dense fats like:

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Avocado oil

  • Grass-fed butter and ghee

  • Coconut oil

  • Pasture-raised animal fats like tallow and lard

Your health depends on knowing what’s in your food. Read labels, cook at home when possible, and swap out processed oils for real, whole-food fats.
