4 dangerous ingredients hiding in your supplements
Most vitamins aren’t as “healthy” as they seem

Good morning friends,
Think all supplements are safe just because they're labelled “natural”?
Think again.

Here are 4 toxic additives commonly found in your vitamins
—and why you need to read your labels before you buy.
1. Magnesium stearate
Also known as vegetable stearate or stearic acid
Used as a flow agent to speed up manufacturing
Slows down absorption—your body gets less benefit
Often derived from cottonseed or palm oil, which can carry pesticide residues or be genetically modified
Linked to gut irritation and has a laxative effect
2. Silicon dioxide
Sounds harmless—after all, it’s just sand, right?
Used as an anti-caking agent in supplements
May cause cellular stress and inflammation when consumed regularly
There’s emerging concern around its long-term effects on gut health and the immune system
3. Titanium dioxide
Yes, the same compound used in paint
Commonly added to make pills look whiter and more appealing
Linked to DNA damage, gut inflammation, and possible carcinogenic effects
Banned in food products in the EU—but still legal in many countries
4. Artificial dyes (like Red 40, Yellow 6)
Used to make supplements look bright and colourful
Derived from petroleum
Associated with hyperactivity, mood swings, and hormone disruption
Completely unnecessary and purely aesthetic
Bottom line:
Cleaner is always better.
The more ingredients a supplement has that you can’t pronounce, the more you should question it.
When choosing a supplement:
Look for transparent labels
Avoid fillers, dyes, and flow agents
Choose third-party tested, whole-food-based brands
